The Art of Teaching Pilates

6-Month Mentorship program

Refine your teaching. Reignite your passion. Inspire your clients.

Teaching Pilates is more than just knowing the repertoire or the science of movement — it’s an art. The way you cue, observe, and connect with your clients is what turns good instruction into transformative teaching.

This one-of-a-kind mentorship has been created for contemporary-trained Pilates instructors who feel ready to go deeper. Maybe you’ve been teaching for years and feel a little uninspired, or you want to refine your skills and grow your confidence. Over six months, you’ll have the opportunity to revitalise your practice, sharpen your teacher’s eye, and learn to communicate with clarity and impact.

What you’ll gain:

  • Refined cueing skills that communicate clearly with your clients - saying more with fewer words, guiding with precision, and making every word count.

  • A deeper understanding of progression in the Pilates system and how it all fits together as a cohesive whole.

  • Tools for seeing more in your clients’ movement and giving them the tools to deepen their practice

  • A dive into the lesser seen apparatus that helps shape the Pilates method

  • A deeper sense of yourself as a teacher - Speak confidently and inspiring change in your clients

With monthly masterclasses, weekly lessons, and ongoing mentorship, The Art of Teaching Pilates is your chance to step into the next chapter of your teaching journey.

What you’ll learn…

The mentorship consists of 6 seminars over 6 months. Here’s what we’ll be covering:

Seminar 1: FEB 2026

Refining your Cueing Skills

How you speak as a teacher matters just as much as what you teach. We’ll refine your cueing so your tone, rhythm, dynamics, and choice of words land with clarity and purpose. You’ll learn to say more with less, guide movement with precision, and adapt your delivery so it resonates with your clients.

Seminar 2: MARCH 2026

Confident Hands-on techniques

Touch is one of the most powerful tools a Pilates teacher has, but knowing how to confidently use hands on cues can sometimes be intimidating. In this seminar, you’ll learn how to apply hands-on techniques with clarity, professionalism, and confidence. We’ll explore when and how to use touch safely, how to guide clients into deeper understanding of movement, and how to set clear boundaries. By the end, you’ll feel empowered to use hands-on support as a way to connect, correct, and inspire trust in your teaching.

Seminar 3: APRIL 2026

Developing Your Teacher’s Eye

Great teachers don’t just teach exercises — they see movement. We’ll focus on sharpening your observation skills so you can identify patterns, imbalances, and potential in your clients. You’ll learn how to respond in the moment with effective corrections and guidance that makes every session more impactful. We’ll explore how the Apparatus gives us intelligent feedback to our clients and how it develops their strength and ability.

Seminar 4: MAY 2026

Adapting the Method for the Individual

One size never fits all. You’ll discover how to adapt the method to suit the person in front of you, without losing its integrity. This theme will give you practical tools to make your teaching more flexible, inclusive, and effective across a wide range of client needs.

Seminar 5: JUNE 2026

Understanding Progression for your Clients

Progression is the key to helping clients grow safely and effectively. In this seminar, you’ll explore how to move clients forward step by step, building both strength and confidence. You’ll deepen your understanding of the method as a system, so you know when to progress, when to hold back, and how to create long-term success for your clients.

Seminar 6: JULY 2026

Teaching with Confidence and Presence

Confidence is more than knowing the repertoire - it’s about showing up with presence, authority, and clarity. In this seminar, you’ll learn how to bring everything together so you feel grounded, professional, and inspired every time you teach. This final stage helps you consolidate your growth and step into your next chapter as a teacher.

When I talk about the Art of Teaching Pilates, I’m not just referring to knowing the exercises or the science of movement.

Those are important, but teaching goes so much deeper. It’s about how we communicate, colloborate, observe, and inspire our clients.

It’s about honouring the Intelligence in Pilates and how we communicate that to our clients.

The real artistry is in how you, as the teacher, bring it to life.

In my own career over the last 25 years as a Movement educator (Ballet, Classical Pilates and Gyrotonic®), I’ve seen how refining the subtle things like tone, rhythm, and presence can completely transform a session and the relationship with your client. It’s not just about correcting a movement, it’s about giving your client an experience that feels intelligent, personal, and inspiring.

That’s why I created The Art of Teaching Pilates mentorship: to help you go beyond the science, and step into the artistry of teaching — with confidence, clarity, and a deeper connection to their clients.

Through the lens of the Classical Pilates method, we’ll explore how every piece of apparatus is part of a bigger system designed to help clients experience more of their physical potential.
